Spectator Policy
Photography and Videography Policy
In line with the Bard College and Office of Communications, Bard Athletics and its Sports Information Office do not collect photo or video release forms from its faculty, staff, or student body. Rather, the College and Athletics assume that members of our community will welcome involvement in documenting Bard's activities as the best means of marketing the Athletic teams and the College.
All photographs and videos taken for Bard Athletics are College property and may be used in promotional material produced, used, or contracted by Bard Athletics, including but not limited to electronic and print publications, websites, social media, classroom use, and college advertisements. Bard Athletics reserves the right to take photographs and video of campus facilities and scenes, events, faculty, staff, and students for Athletic use in any areas on campus where subjects do not have an expectation of privacy, and provided the photographs do not violate the privacy of the subject.
Any person who prefers not to appear in the Bard Athletic photos or video must contact the Sports Information Office at sportsinfo@bard.edu, detailing their preference in writing and including an easily identifiable, recent headshot. This photo will be used for identification purposes only and will be held in confidence by the Sports Information Office. Bard Athletics also requests that persons preferring not to appear in Athletic photos or video absent themselves or otherwise make their wishes known when Athletic-sponsored photographers or videographers are documenting activities and events.
Any individual or entity wishing to engage in photography or videography for production, broadcast, or public dissemination by any means on Bard Athletics property must obtain permission in advance from the Sports Information Office. Bard Athletic events that involve minors will secure signed permission from parents or guardians via email and/or in-hand writing.
COVID-19 Policy
Bard's expectation for all visitors to campus is that they are either fully vaccinated and up-to-date with all booster shots, or that they have taken a test with a negative result within 24 hours of their arrival. Any visitor must cancel their visit if they are experiencing COVID symptoms.
