ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Aidan Kiernan has been named as the next Assistant Coach of the Bard College Cross Country and Track & Field Programs as announced on Friday by Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach Brody Smith

"Aidan is a perfect fit for the Bard XCTF team," said Smith. "He has a great attitude and his style aligns with our team ethos. He will be a tremendous resource for our athletes and his addition truly elevates the level of the Bard XCTF program."

Kiernan is a former Track & Field athlete for Gettysburg College, specializing in the 60m, 100m, and 200m sprints. He graduated in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences with a minor in Business.

"I'm incredibly excited and grateful for the opportunity to join Bard College and become part of the Raptors community," said Kiernan. "From my first conversation with Coach Smith, I was drawn to his commitment to developing student-athletes both in competition and beyond. I'm looking forward to building strong relationships with our athletes, helping them pursue their goals, and contributing to the continued growth of the cross country and track and field programs."

His coaching experience includes positions with the University of Bridgeport and Pelham High School.

At the University of Bridgeport, Kiernan coached short sprint, long sprint, and relay athletes, collaborated with coaching staff on practice planning, meet preparation, and travel logistics, and analyzed athlete performance using Kinovea film analysis.
