The Bard College women's squash team overpowered the Mount Holyoke Lyons on Saturday afternoon, 5-4. Contreras-Araya clinched the win for the Raptors, as the bottom of the lineup helped secure the win. 

At the no. 2 ladder, Tarana Downer battled back from dropping the first game, winning the next three games. Essa Kyaw came back in a similar fashion at the no. 5 ladder. At the no. 6 ladder, Najla Nazari swiftly defeated her opponent, giving up just seven points. 

Catalyna Contreras-Araya came through a tough first game at the no. 7 ladder, 12-10, giving her the momentum she needed to cruise the rest of the way and clinching the win for the Raptors. At the no. 8 ladder, Noa Baede won a nailbiter in five games, storming back from two games down to complete a reverse sweep. This was Baede's first match as a Raptor. 

Bard plays at the Liberty League Championships from February 13-15 next.
