POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — The Bard College women's basketball team started strong in the first half, but could not prevent Vassar's strong second half to fall 51-34 on Saturday afternoon.
Lexi Miller led the team with her fourth double-double of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Ava Gregory was all over the court, racking up 10 rebounds, seven points, two steals and an assist.

Erin Tobes each had five points, with
Aislynn Dixon and Tobes leading the team with four steals each.
In the first quarter, the Raptors took an early lead, going on a 10-2 run after five minutes of play. The Brewers went on a 10-0 run to take a 12-10 lead with 2:30 left. A pair of free throws made by Tobes tied up the game. Dong already had five points after five minutes of play.
The second quarter saw the Raptors go on a 7-0 run, causing four turnovers and scoring four points off them. Both teams struggled to get their offenses going in the latter half of the second quarter, scoring only seven points each. Miller shone through as she became more aggressive on the paint and shot 3-of-4.
Vassar came out hot in the third quarter, going on an 8-0 run in the first five minutes, before a Martin jumper stopped the scoring drought for Bard. In the fourth quarter, the Brewers kept their momentum from the third quarter, as the Raptors were unable to come back.
The Raptors will continue on the road next weekend, traveling to the northern country, facing Clarkson on Friday at 5:30 p.m., then St. Lawrence on Saturday at 2 p.m.
