RECAP: Men’s Squash Drops their 5th Place Match on Day 2 of the CSA Divisional Team Championships

The Bard College men's squash team competed against Fordham on the second day of the CSA Divisional Team Championships held in Philadelphia, Pa. 

The Raptors battled against the Rams on Saturday evening. Artemy Mukhin won in straight games, including a close second game in which he won four straight points at 7-6 to seal it. He continued that momentum into the third game, where he went up 5-1 and held the lead from start to finish. At ladder 2, Miguel Rodriguez scored 15 total points in the first and final games, coming close to a set victory. Joas Erasmus was tied at 3-3 in the second game of his ladder 4 match, fighting hard until the final point. At ladder 6, George Miahkov won nine total points.

Bard finished the season with a win over Swarthmore under its belt, and it had various impressive individual performances, from Mukhin's dominance in the regular season to newcomers getting their first wins. Mukhin went 13-2 on the year at ladder 1, only dropping matches at the CSA Divisional Team Championships.
