The Bard College women's squash team completed their run at the Liberty League Championships this weekend, battling to a 2-6 score against Vassar.
Hanna Okalava won in four games, coming back from a game down at ladder 5.
Najla Nazari contributed the other Bard victory at ladder 8, storming to an 11-1 win in the final game.
Tarana Downer had a rematch at ladder 1 with Adriana Ordaya, winning one more point than she did in their previous meeting.
At ladder 2, Thenuri DeSilva had a slow start but had four points in the final game.
Nioby Rodriguez had a nailbiter of a third game at ladder 3, pushing her opponent to come up clutch, 13-11.
Meherin Hossain, playing in the fourth spot, got a game off of Sophia Choudhri in their last meeting, but couldn't quite reach the finish line this time.
Tee Williams won the first three points of their match at ladder 6, holding a lead until 5-4. The opposing Brewer was able to change the tide and get a slim three-point victory in the first game. Vassar's ladder 6 player rode the momentum to the win, despite a 4-1 push by Williams in the third game to take a brief lead.
Victoria Bagatcholon dropped the final game by just three points, which was a trend for the Raptors – almost forcing fourth sets in each match.
The Raptors will be back in competition for the College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships at Philadelphia on February 28 to March 2.
