The Bard College men's squash team fought against Hobart, but fell 1-6.
Artemy Mukhin picked up the Raptors' lone win at ladder 1.
Artemy Mukhin earned a five-point victory in game one as he opened the match 6-1, sustaining that lead to the end. It was a chippy second game with a litany of lets as Hobart won it on its second game point, 12-10. Mukhin responded, coming back from 0-3 down in the third game to win it comfortably. At 3-3 in the fourth game, he put together an 8-0 run to take the match in four games.
At ladder 2,
Miguel Rodriguez Robles started out well, winning seven points in game one. Overall, he earned 13 points across the three games.
Jacob Nathan filled in the third spot, going down in three games.
Faisal Jones came up short at ladder 4, as his opponent was on a hot streak.
Joas Erasmus picked up seven points through the ladder 5 match but couldn't put together a run to win a game.
In a three-game match at ladder 6,
George Miahkov found some success on serve, hitting three unreturnable serves during a 4-0 run in the first game. In game two, he won four of the first ten points, but struggled to get to short balls during Hobart's 5-1 run.
Yashar Khan earned seven points at ladder 7, five of which came in the final game.
The Raptors will be back in competition for the College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships at Philadelphia on February 28 to March 2.
