The Bard College women's squash team attended the Liberty League Championships on Saturday, facing no.26 St. Lawrence and no.27 Haverford.
Against St. Lawrence, Bard challenged each of their opponents. Thenuri DeSilva,
Meherin Hossain,
Hanna Okalava and
Najla Nazari won at least five or more points in a set. Nazari battled hard in ladder 8, falling 11-9 in the second set.
Against Haverford, Okalava battled hard against her opponent in ladder 5, winning at least five or more points in each set. The Raptors in ladder 3 to 8, scored at least a point in each set.
"Our players competed harder than their score lines show and I give credit to their experienced opponents," said head coach
Jack Smith.
Bard will be back tomorrow when they compete against Vassar at 9 a.m. for the fifth-place match.
After that, the Raptors will be back in competition for the College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships at Philadelphia on February 28 to March 2.
