The Bard College men's squash team got two wins from
Artemy Mukhin at ladder 1 against St. Lawrence and Vassar on Saturday. Against the Saints, he improved in each game, capping it off with an eight-point victory in the third game.
Miguel Rodriguez Robles challenged his St. Lawrence opponent, particularly in the first game, where he grinded out eight points. He also rebounded after a tough second game, dropping the final game by just five points.
At ladder 7,
Yashar Khan compiled 12 points against Vassar and 19 overall.
Joas Erasmus had a relatively close match with Vassar and earned 16 points total.
Jacob Nathan and
Faisal Jones got 13 points in their matches at ladder 3 and 4.
George Miahkov battled at ladder six, getting ten points.
"Our players competed harder than their score lines show and I give credit to their experienced opponents," said head coach
Jack Smith.
Bard will be back tomorrow when they compete against Hobart at 9 a.m. After that, the Raptors will be back in competition for the College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships at Philadelphia on February 28 to March 2.
