Four Women’s Volleyball Student-Athletes named to the 2025 CSC Division III Academic All-District Team

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Four members of the Bard College women's volleyball team were honored as members of the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Division III Academic All-District Team, an award that recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom. 

The four students honored were sophomore Annika Flittie and seniors Nyla Lawrence, Ella Small, and Becca Wintjen.

Sophomore Annika Flittie is majoring in biology (pre-med). She started 27 matches for the Raptors this season. She recorded the most kills on the team, at 189, as well as the most aces, at 56. Her 0.57 aces per set ranked 5th in the Liberty League. Flittie is a Liberty League All-Academic honoree.

Senior Nyla Lawrence is majoring in computer science. She appeared in 22 matches with 21 starts for the Raptors this season. She ranked third on the team in blocks per set, at 0.38, and she ranked second on the team in kills per set, at 1.71. Lawrence is a three-time Liberty League All-Academic honoree.

Senior Ella Small is majoring in film & french studies. She recorded a team-high 314 digs this season, bringing her to 1196 career digs. Small ranks second in school history in career digs. Small is a three-time Liberty League All-Academic honoree as well as a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree. 

Senior Becca Wintjen is majoring in psychology. She appeared in all 28 matches with 26 starts for the Raptors this season. Wintjen recorded 134 kills, second on the team, 153 assists, second on the team, and 240 digs, second on the team. She recorded the first triple-double in program history against Hunter. Wintjen is a three-time Liberty League All-Academic honoree and a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree.

To be recognized on the Academic All-District Team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and enrolled full-time with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50. The student-athletes must also have competed in 90 percent of the institutions' games or must start in at least 66 percent of games. The Academic All-District Team is selected by the College Sports Communicators.
