Four Men’s Soccer Student-Athletes named to the 2025 CSC Division III Academic All-District Team

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Four members of the Bard College men's soccer team were honored as members of the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Division III Academic All-District At-Large Team, an award that recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom. 

The four students honored were juniors Brandon Alchy and Emmett Olson and seniors Ben Steketee and Sam Gerber.

Junior Brandon Alchy is majoring in economics. He started 16 games for the Raptors this season. He played the 6th most minutes on the team, at 1208, including six games where he played all 90 minutes. Alchy is a two-time Liberty League All-Academic honoree and a first time CSC Academic All-District. 

Senior Sam Gerber is majoring in mathematics & economics. He appeared in all 18 games with 11 starts for the Raptors this season. He scored a goal against Old Westbury. Gerber is a three-time Liberty League All-Academic honoree and now a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree.

Junior Emmett Olson is majoring in biology. He recorded four goals, a team-high seven assists, and 15 points. He was named to the Liberty League Honor Roll. Olson was second on the team in minutes, with 1530, and he played all 90 minutes in 11 games. Olson is a two-time Liberty League All-Academic honoree as well as a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree

Senior Ben Steketee is majoring in biology. He appeared in all 18 games with 14 starts for the Raptors this season. Steketee scored two goals and added two assists. He was named the Liberty League Offensive Player of the Week. Steketee is a three-time Liberty League All-Academic honoree and now a three-time CSC Academic All-District honoree.

To be nominated for the At-Large Academic All-District Team, the athlete must have a GPA of 3.50 or above and must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. The student-athlete has to have competed in 90% of the team's total games played or have started 66% of the team's total games. The Academic All-District Team is selected by the College Sports Communicators.
