Emmett Olson named to the Liberty League Honor Roll

| By:
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Bard College junior Emmett Olson was named to the Liberty League Honor Roll on Monday afternoon by the league office.

In a week with two Liberty League ties, Olson led the Raptors with go-ahead goals in back-to-back games. In the match against RPI, Olson took a free kick from near the penalty box, sending it towards the goal. The ball spun to the goalkeeper's left and crossed over the line, resulting in the Raptors' go-ahead goal at the 49:55 mark. He added a shot versus the Engineers.

On Saturday against Clarkson, Olson assisted on the first Raptor goal, tying the match at 1-1. At 20:54, Emmett Olson took the free kick and sent it inside the box to find Henry Skeltis, who headed it into the back of the net. In addition to the assist, Olson scored on a penalty kick with 91 seconds left, driving the ball to the bottom right side for his second Liberty League goal of the season and his first-ever time scoring goals in back-to-back games. He constantly put pressure on the Golden Knights' defense, recording three shots on goal as a result.

This marks Olson's first career Honor Roll and the third one of the season for Men's Soccer.
