RECAP: Cross Country Hosts the Fred Pavlich Invitational

Women place 4th, men have competitive individuals at home course



ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — The Bard College cross country team ran at the Fred Pavlich Invitational on Saturday morning with the women's team finishing fourth out of 14 teams.

Emma St. Peter led the Raptors, and two other Raptor runners ran sub 30 minute 6Ks. Samantha Simon raced the 6K for the first time, placing second on the team and 30th overall. Odille Zexter-Kaiser and Amaya Zebe-Herrera both finished in the top 50, shaving more than a minute off of their previous bests. Violet DiBiasio stayed with the Bard pack for 2.4K, but fell back towards the end of the race. J'adora Lively raced in her first 6K.

On the men's side, Charlie Grenadier paced the Raptors with a time of 32:57.3. Joshua Schwartz finished 33rd overall, running the second fastest race for Bard. Ilyas Hotak finished in the top 50 at 44th. Oskar Lehnartz rounded out the group, racing in his first 8K. Able Bloodgood was not able to finish the race due to injury. 

Bard will turn the calendar for their next meet of the season at the Queensborough Community College Invitational next Sunday at 11 a.m.
