Bard Athletics announced today a partnership with Ruge's Auto Group, a locally-owned and operated auto sales and service company, which will benefit Bard Athletics and the entire Bard community.
Benefits for Bard students, staff, alumni, and faculty, include the following:
- $500 in "Bard Bucks" toward the purchase of any new or used vehicle
- An extra $5 off Ruge's popular Wild Card service special ($10-30 off service $35-200+)
- Free service pick-up and delivery from campus to Ruge's Ford in Rhinebeck, and Ruge's Subaru when the company's new service center opens.
Ruge Auto Group includes multiple car dealerships and service areas near Bard, including Ruge's Ford and Ruge's Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram, both located at the intersection of Routes 9 and 9G just four miles south of campus, and Ruge's Subaru, in the village of Rhinebeck, just 10 minutes south of campus. Ruge's Subaru is opening a new service center on 9G near the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge this summer.

"Many members of the Bard community have purchased vehicles from Ruge's or gotten vehicles serviced there in the past, and we're excited to strengthen this connection."

"If you drive a vehicle we don't sell, say a Honda, we can still change your oil, do your NYS inspection, and many other services with free pick-up and return so you don't even have to leave campus!"
The sponsorship will include Ruge's signage at and around Bard athletic facilities, advertisements on Bard's livestream and websites, a presence at Bard Athletics' golf tournament, and more.
