ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — The Bard College women's squash team gets past Smith in the opening round of the Bard Round Robin before falling to Brown in the afternoon on Saturday at Stevenson Athletic Center. 

The Raptors defeated Smith in a close call as Bard prevailed with 13-12 games won. Both teams won four games, but the tiebreaker came down to how many games won by each team, and the one game won by Tee Williams in ladder 5 helped tilt in favor of Bard. 

Later that afternoon, Bard took on Brown but fell 9-0. The Raptors showed a strong performance from the middle of the ladder, with Thenuri De Silva (ladder 3) and Meherin Hossain (ladder 4) winning at least 15 points in their match.

The Raptors will travel to Wesleyan on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 12:30 p.m.
