Box Score NEWBURGH, N.Y. — The Bard College men's tennis team (1-4) won a non-conference matchup against Mount St. Mary (0-2). The Raptors faced the Knights for the first time since 2018 and defeated them on the road for the first time in 8 years.
The Raptors won at No. 1 doubles, 6-3, and No. 2 doubles, 6-2, poaching the ball effectively.

Faisal Jones started and finished strong at No. 1, winning the first three games and three of the last four to close the set. On match point, both Raptors hit overheads, Kostikas hammering the second to seal it.
Asher Henry had similar success at the net, finding angles after
Yashar Khan set him up with clean groundstrokes from the baseline. The No. 2 doubles squad was down 2-0 in two deuce games to open the set, then rallied back to win six straight games.
At No. 1 singles, Kostikas hit with good pace, ousting Mount St. Mary's Luke Baylis 6-1, 6-2.
Jones lost at No. 2 singles, only by a single break in the first set, 4-6. He won 80% of points on his first serve in the set. The Knights won the second set 6-2.
Khan competed hard at the No. 3 position, falling 1-6, 1-6. Long rallies and close games finished in favor of Marco Collarelli.
At No. 4, George Miakhov fell to Dylan Stackpole 2-6, 1-6, serving well at points in the match with first and second serve aces.
At No. 5,
Ciaran Chamberlain and Mateo Romero were the first singles match on court. Chamberlain served well and limited his unforced errors en route to a smooth victory, 6-2, 6-0.
The Knights had to forfeit No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
Bard concludes their fall season, and will look ahead to March 27th at 3 p.m., where they play Delhi on the Broncos' home court.
