ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY - The Bard women's lacrosse team started a back-to-back Liberty League weekend, hosting the Ithaca Bombers, ranked #17 in the latest IWLCA Coaches Poll.
The visitors came out strong and earned a 24-0 win over the Raptors on Ferrari Field.
Bard battled throughout the game and both of the team's goalkeepers,
Lexie Blackburn and
Martha Pasatiempo, came up with several good saves. Blackburn made five saves in just over 20 minutes of action, and Pasatiempo made four saves in nearly 40 minutes.
While the defensive unit was pushed by the deep Ithaca squad, the group fought to the final whistle.
Maggy Peyton had a pair of shots on goal, and
Morgan Ruhle and
Lily Clough each collected a pair of ground balls.
The Raptors return to the field quickly, hosting RPI on Saturday afternoon at 1pm.
