ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY – The Bard women's lacrosse team closed its season with a home game against Union on Wednesday night, with the Dutchwomen earning a 21-3 win.
Sarah Child had a goal and two assists,
Izzi Popolizio and
Maggy Peyton each had a goal, and
Lily Clough had an assist in the game.
Lexie Blackburn (five saves) and
Martha Pasatiempo (six saves) split time in net for the Raptors.
Bard celebrated its three seniors ahead of last Saturday's game against Clarkson, but today was the final match for Clough and
Khadija Ghanizada, and
Paige Gregg is the team's third senior who is planning to return for graduate studies at Bard next year.
The four Raptors who had points on Wednesday were Bard's leaders this season, with Popolizio top on the team with 32 points (13G, 19A), just ahead of Child with 31 (26G, 5A). Peyton had 25 points from 22 goals and 3 assists, and Clough had 11 goals and 3 assists. In addition to Popolizio, Child, Peyton, Gregg, and Ghanizada, the Raptors who started every game included
