ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Bard College women's basketball team dropped its Liberty League game against Union, 63-40, on Wednesday night at Stevenson Athletic Center.
Bard (2-5, 0-3 Liberty League) started off hot in the first quarter, outsourcing Union (3-4, 2-1) 17-14, but the Garnet Chargers rebounded with strong second and third quarters to gain control of the game.
Senior
Mae Redmond and sophomore
Shirley Dong led the team with 11 points each. Dong led the team with eight rebounds, and added two assists and a steal. Redmond shot 4-of-9 from the field and only committed one turnover.
First-year
Ella Perreault tied her career-high six points, she also added four rebounds and two steals. Junior
Maggy Peyton also had six points and four rebounds and added two assists. First-year
Lexi Miller added five rebounds and two assists, while fellow first-year
Erin Tobes had a team-high three assists and added two rebounds and a steal.
Bard will host Pratt Institute on Saturday at 2 p.m. for its last home game of the 2023 at Stevenson Athletic Center.
