Rouskas makes 13 saves in season finale

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Bard College women's lacrosse team wrapped up the 2022 season with a 20-4 Liberty League loss at Union on Wednesday night.

With a pair of goals and an assist, first year Sarah Child moved into second place in the Bard record book for goals in a season with 40, and into third in points in a season with 49. Fellow first years Maggy Peyton and Izzi Popolizio accounted for Bard's other two goals.

Senior goalie Roxanne Rouskas made 13 saves, giving her 119 for the season, good for fourth in the Bard record book. Her 144 career saves are also fourth in that category. Rachael Yoder climbed into the record books in draw controls in a game, a season and a career.

"I'm proud of the hard work and effort from the team this year," Bard coach Rachel Vallarelli said. "We will miss our four seniors and we are grateful for everything that they gave to the program over their four years as part of the Bard program."

It was the final game in the careers of Rouskas, Rachael Yoder, Emma Heffron and Gillian Adkins.
