Bard gets four goals from Child vs. No. 8 William Smith

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's lacrosse team lost to 8th-ranked William Smith College, 22-5, in a Liberty League game on Friday afternoon.

Bard first year Sarah Child scored four goals and collected four draw controls to lead the Raptors. Emma Heffron scored and scooped up a pair of ground balls, Rachael Yoder had three assists and three draw controls, and Maggy Peyton made nine saves.

"I'm proud of the team today," Bard coach Rachel Vallarelli said. "Sarah Child is now tied or third in the Bard record book for goals in a season, and our offense was clicking today. The defense held strong and has some momentum-changing stops. Maggy Peyton stood tall in goal with two caused turnovers and nine stops. Excited about our next game against Vassar."

Bard's final home game of the 2022 season is next, on Wednesday night against Vassar.
