MADISON, N.J. - The Bard College men's tennis team lost to Drew University, 8-1, in a non-league match on Sunday.
The No. 3 doubles team of
Augustin Johnson and
Daniyal Zafar won their match, while
Drew Soleiman and
Oliver Allen were narrowly beaten in super-tiebreakers at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively.
"It was a great job by the whole team," Bard coach Roge Nesbitt said. "I just want to highlight August and Daniyal for winning their match, and Drew and Oliver for forcing those tiebreakers. Those tiebreakers are so tough because only 10 points decides the match."
Bard next hosts RPI in a Liberty League match on Wednesday.
