ITHACA, N.Y. - The Bard College men's indoor track & field team competed at the Liberty League Championships for the first time on Friday night.
"The men wanted to go out and establish themselves and get some respect from the teams in our league," Bard coach Billy Poole-Harris said. "Today I think we achieved that."
Reed Campbell placed 16th in the mile and set a school indoor record in the process.
"His effort and tactical awareness are something, and he is going places," Poole-Harris said. "He's hungry and he's going to be fast for years to come."
CeDaniel Sumpter competed in the 60.
"He had a tough start, but he recovered and finished the season with a PR in that event," Poole-Harris said. "It was a good day, and we're looking forward to Saturday."
