Box Score CANTON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team lost to St. Lawrence University, 68-49, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.

The game was tied after one quarter, and Bard trailed by one at halftime, but a big third quarter gave the hosts the edge.

Bard seniors Christina Kiser and Olivia Couture each produced double-doubles. Kiser had 30 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block. Couture had 11 points and 11 rebounds.

"I thought we really battled for three quarters," Bard coach Casi Donelan said, "but we couldn't rebound from a slow start to the third quarter."

Thalia Grandinetti scored six points in seven minutes.

"Olivia Couture was a menace on the boards," Donelan said. "And we need that against a team as big as St. Lawrence."

Bard continues a stretch of road games next weekend, at Vassar on Friday, and at Union on Saturday.
