STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - The Bard College women's indoor track & field team competed at the Spartan Invite, hosted by St. Thomas Aquinas University, on Friday.
Complete results
Competing against predominantly Div. II schools, Bard held its own.
"Our women were low in numbers but high in spirit," Bard coach Billy Poole-Harris said. "We had some great performance, like
Rose Battista setting a lifetime best in the mile while setting a school indoor record.
Rachael Yoder got off a flight from across the country and went out and ran a PR and school record in the 800."
First year
Nevaeh Iverson ran in the 400.
"You will hear that name for years to come," Poole-Harris said. "She has raw talent, and when we harness it, then unleash it at the right time, watch out!"
Bard is scheduled to compete next at the Middlebury Invitational on Jan. 29.
