PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Bard College women's basketball team lost to Rhode Island College, 81-16, in a non-league game on Saturday afternoon.
Thalia Grandinetti led Bard with nine points, six rebounds and two steals.
Olivia Couture added five points and four rebounds, and
Maggy Peyton grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
"It was a tough road game for the team," Bard coach
Casi Donelan said. "We've been hit with an injury bug so we were short-handed. We battled and did the best we could with a very talented and aggressive RIC team.
"We're going to take time here to explore
Christina Kiser's hometown here," Donelan continued, "and we look forward to bouncing back on Sunday."
Bard's weekend road trip continues on Sunday at Wheaton.
