ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's squash team hosted the Bard Round Robin on Saturday.
Colgate, Vassar, Lafayette and Swarthmore competed, and Bard played a couple of individual exhibition matches, because the Raptors didn't have enough players to field a team. These matches gave sophomore
Will Egan and first year
Jacob Nathan their first look at college squash competition.
"Jacob lost a five-set thriller, losing the fifth set, 13-11, to a player from Swarthmore," Bard coach
Craig Thorpe-Clark said. "It was a great learning experience for him.
Will Egan played a player from Vassar, and he got good competition and excellent match experience. It will give him some insight into what it's going to take to raise his game to the next level."
Veteran
Marty Graham got some matches in, too.
"Marty played with his usual flair," Thorpe-Clark said. "He was controlling the T and dominating the rallies. His hard work on his own game is raising the level of the players around him."
