Raptors compete at Smith

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - The Bard College men's track & field team competed at Smith College's Carla Coffee Classic on Saturday, and saw a number of runners earn positive early-season marks.

In the 400 meters, Bethuel Yebouet made his 2019 debut and posted a 52.93 mark, winning his heat and placing fifth overall.

Three Bard runners competed in the 800 meters, with Winston Cheney and Hongmin Ahn coming across the line in quick succession to earn the second and fourth spots in their heat, and Alex Henriquez made his collegiate debut by posting a new personal best.

The 4x400 relay team, anchored by Rowan Forsythe with Cheney, Yebouet, and Ahn, improved its time significantly over last weekend with a strong effort.

The team will be back in action next Saturday at the Bronco Classic, hosted by SUNY Delhi.
