POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Bard College women's lacrosse team lost to Vassar College, 21-5, a Liberty League game on Tuesday evening. It was the final road game of the 2019 season for the Raptors.

Vassar led 5-0 with 18:38 left in the first half, but Bard responded, outscoring Vassar 4-3 over the next nine minutes, making it 8-4. Vassar scored a pair of goals less than a minute apart to push the lead back to 10-4, and it was 12-5 at halftime.

The Brewers scored four goals in the first six minutes of the second half and held Bard scoreless over the final 30 minutes.

Emily Hamburger (Clarksville, MD) had three goals and three assists, and Kelly Pushie (Mahwah, NJ) added four goals and one assist for the hosts. The Brewers are 5-4 in the Liberty League, 8-6 overall.

Caleigh DeCaprio led Bard (0-9, 4-10) with two goals and two assists. Casey Witte, Gillian Adkins and Dylan McDonald scored single goals. Melissa Rosenthal led Bard with four draw controls. Izabel Kickner made three saves in the first half, and Roxanne Rouskas made four saves in the second half.

Bard's 2019 final will be on Friday, when Union comes to Annandale. It will be Senior Day.
