ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team lost to Vassar College, 77-55, in a Liberty League game on Friday night.
It was the 15th win in a row for Vassar, which improved to 18-2 overall, 12-1 in the Liberty League. The Brewers did most of their damage in the first half, shooting 55 percent from the field to build a 22-point halftime lead.
But Bard, to its credit, played Vassar even in the second half, 37-37.
Sophie Nick (Denver, CO) led Vassar with 15 points.
Bard got a game-high 28 points from
Christina Kiser, who entered the weekend as the Liberty League's leading scorer. She also had six steals and four rebounds.
Jess Rylander added 14 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Caleigh DeCaprio hit three three-pointers and finished with nine points.
