SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team lost to Skidmore College, 74-48, in a Liberty League game on Friday night.
The Thoroughbreds (5-11, 4-5 Liberty League) jumped out to a 23-10 first quarter lead and never looked back.
Bard finished the third quarter on a 14-4 run, but the Raptors we unable to get any closer than 17 in the second half.
Sydney Tsutsui (Northridge, CA) hit four three-pointers and finished with 18 points for Skidmore, while 6-3 center Lilly Berg (Smyrna, NY) added 17 points and nine rebounds.
Bard freshman
Christina Kiser, who entered the weekend tied for first in the nation in scoring with a 26.1 points per game average, scored 26 points, grabbed nine rebounds and added two blocks.
Katie Esposito added seven points and five rebounds,
Caleigh DeCaprio hit a pair of threes and
Olivia Couture chipped in with five points and four rebounds. The Raptors are 4-9 overall, 0-8 in the Liberty League.
