POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Bard College senior Awura Oppong placed third in the 100-meter hurdles at the Vassar Invitational on Saturday.

Oppong was also part of Bard's fifth-place squad in the 4x100 relay with Sarah George, Hattie Wilder Karlstrom and Juliette Groarke.

Later, George placed seventh in the 400, and Ashley Jones placed 13th in the 100. In the javelin, Micah Theodore placed 11th, and she was sixth in the shot.

Up next for Bard is the Capital District Classic, to be held at RPI on Sunday, Apr. 29.
