ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team lost to Clarkson University, 79-41, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Knights (6-5 overall, 1-3 Liberty League) raced out to a 27-6 first quarter lead, and led by more than 40 at halftime. The Raptors (0-10, 0-4) outscored Clarkson in the second half.
Clarkson got 15 points and four steals apiece from Devin Sorell (Hannibal, NY) and Madison Shea (Clifton Park, NY). Tricia Loso (Rome, NY) added 11 points off the bench.
Freshman
Katie Esposito had the first double-double of her Bard career with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Sarah Morris added nine points and 10 rebounds.
Bard's Liberty League schedule will take the team on the road for the next two games, at William Smith on Friday, and at RPI on Saturday. Follow both games live right here.
