ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Bard College women's lacrosse team lost to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 13-2, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.
The Engineers improved to 6-4 overall and 2-2 in the Liberty League, while the Raptors fell to 3-6, 0-3.
RPI scored five goals in the first 10 minutes and led 8-0 at halftime.
The Engineers limited Bard to just seven successful clears on 15 attempts, while being good on 11-of-12 clears themselves. Bard had a 9-8 edge in draw controls, including a 7-1 advantage in the second half.
Mackenzie O'Neil (Duxbury, MA) led RPI with three goals.
Casey Witte and
Alexandra Clarke scored for Bard.
Kaylynn Tran made nine saves.
