ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Six different Bard College players scored as the Raptors blanked Green Mountain College, 8-0, in a non-league game on Saturday afternoon.
Nick Shenberger and
Mark Mannara eached had two goals for the Raptors (4-1-1) and Shenberger also dished out an assist.
John Flynn,
Marco Lorenz,
Brendan Byrne, and
Emlyn Ellerby also had one tally each.
Shenberger gave his team a 1-0 lead in the second minute. Byrne's point-blank shot was saved by Eagles freshman keeper Samuel Nichols (Brunswick, ME), and Shenberger was there for the easy rebound goal. Later, the Raptors scored four goals in a five-minute span, including another one by Shenberger. Lorenz gave the hosts a 6-0 lead heading into halftime, as Bard outshot the Eagles (0-5) 24-4 in the first half.Â
Mannara and Ellerby finished the scoring attack for the Raptors in the 63rd and 64th minutes, respectively.
Daniel Gagne played the opening half in net and had two saves.
Taylor Bond played the second half and had five stops, along with an assist in the game.
