SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - A 20-1 run over the last eight minutes of the first half erased a Bard College lead and propelled the Skidmore College women's basketball team to a 76-46 victory in a Liberty League game on Friday night.
Bard (4-6, 0-2 Liberty League) had an 18-17 lead when Skidmore (7-5, 3-0) sprung to life, holding the Raptors without a field goal over the last 8:08 of the first half. The Thoroughbreds started the half out slowly, but ended up shooting 44 percent in the first half and forcing 11 Bard turnovers.
For the game, Skidmore shot 48 percent and made 8-of-17 from beyond the three-point line. Sophomore Migle Vilunaite (Vilnius, Lithuania) came off the bench to lead Skidmore in scoring with 14 points.
Tytravia Riley led Bard with 13 points, 10 rebounds and six steals. She is 31 points away from 1,000 for her career.
