ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The hot-shooting Rochester Institute of Technology women's basketball team made 33-of-66 shots en route to an 83-59 victory over Bard in a Liberty League game on Friday night.

A 15-5 run in the first half provided a cushion that Bard (1-10, 0-2 Liberty League) was never able to make up.

Sophomore Ashlynn Palmitesso (Fulton, NY) was unstoppable. She scored 16 of her career-high 28 points in the first half, and finished 10-for-17 from the field, including 4-for-7 from beyond the three-point line. She also led the team with seven assists.

Senior Courtney Tennant (Cortland, NY) added 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Tigers, who are 6-6 overall, 2-1 in the Liberty League.

Bard got 15 points and nine rebounds from Tytravia Riley, and 15 points and seven rebounds from Bianka Bell. Both players spent a good portion of the second half on the bench with foul trouble. Liz Freud contributed 12 points, and Joanna Regan added seven point, seven rebounds and five assists.
