Raptors downed by SUNY Potsdam, 2-0

Sophomore Troy Robertson played every minute of Sunday's match against SUNY Potsdam.
Box Score POTSDAM, N.Y. - The Bard College men's soccer team lost to SUNY Potsdam 2-0, in a non-league game on Sunday afternoon.

The Bears (4-1) outshot Bard 33-5 and scored once in each half.

Junior forward Eduardo Figueroa (Rochester, NY) opened the scoring in the 32nd minute off a pass from Stephen Auyer (Oswego, NY). In the second half, Alessio Vitale (Liverpool, NY) found Tom Benedetto (Queensbury, NY) with a cross in the 54th minute, and Benedetto's header by Bard keeper Daniel Gagne for a 2-0 lead.

Gagne was terrific, making five saves in each half. The Raptors are 0-4.

Bard is off until next weekend. The Raptors will host Utica College at 2 on Saturday, and Becker College at 1 on Sunday. Both games can be followed via Live Stats if you can't make it.
