Men's soccer team shut out by RIT

Austin Higgins (2) had Bard's best chance to score on Friday, but Bard lost, 4-0, to RIT.
Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Rochester Institute of Technology men's soccer team scored twice in each half and defeated Bard College, 4-0, in a non-league game on Friday afternoon.

RIT (5-3-1 overall, 2-0-0 Liberty League) went ahead for good in the 26th minute, when Danny Bloshkin (Liverpool, NY) bent a direct kick from 20 yards out around Bard's wall and beyond the leaping keeper Daniel Gagne for a 1-0 lead. Kurt Spiegel (Monroe, NY) made it 2-0 a few minutes later, and it remained that way until halftime.

Bard's best chance to score came in the 51st minute, when freshman Austin Higgins fired a free kick from 20 yards out over the RIT wall, but Mark Reeves (Macedon, NY) made a diving save to keep the Raptors off the board.

John Kaddo (Troy, NY) scored in the 63rd andn 77th minutes to finish the scoring. The Tigers outshot Bard, 25-3.
