Box Score SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The Bard College men's soccer team lost its 2012 Liberty League opener on Wednesday night, falling to Skidmore College, 4-0.

Sophomore Brock Bakewell (Tuscon, AZ) scored in the 16th minute and the 27th minute as the Thoroughbreds ran out to a 3-0 lead at halftime. In the end, Skidmore outshot Bard, 23-3 and improved to 4-0-1 overall. Bakewell added another goal in the second half.

Bard, 1-3-1, got three saves from freshman keeper Gabe Rudd, who played the first half, and five from freshman keeper Daniel Gagne, who played the second half.

The Raptors play a pair of road games this weekend. They'll take on Becker College at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, and Green Mountain College on Sunday at 2 p.m. You can follow both games via Live Stats.
