ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - One day after a 53-point loss, the Bard College women's basketball team proved once again just how resilient it can be.
Bard lost to Skidmore, 61-34, on Saturday. But it was the Raptors' best offensive output in conference play this season and it was the lowest margin of defeat against a league opponent.

The silver linings are important because the team has been working hard and often showing improvement - sometimes not - but Saturday turned out to be a pretty good day.
Bard was down, 13-0, with 11 minutes left in the first half, but a 14-10 run cut the lead to 23-19 with 4:04 left before the break. Skidmore scored the next 12 points to take a 21-point halftime lead, then outscored Bard 26-20 in the second half to earn the victory.
Skidmore (12-7 overall, 5-5 Liberty League) got 17 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks from senior Megan Gaugler (Amsterdam, NY), and 10 points from sophomore Jordyn Wartts (St. Louis, MO). The Thoroughbreds host Clarkson on Tuesday at 6.
Bard (3-16, 1-10) got 12 points and four rebounds from sophomore
Victoria Fleisher and 10 points and six rebounds from freshman

Imani Jones contributed six points and led the team with eight rebounds.
