Men's soccer team defeated by Hobart

Box Score ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's soccer team lost to Hobart College, 5-0, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.

Hobart (8-4, 3-3 Liberty League) put the pressure on early and scored in the 14th minute when Zico Gaeffke (Haverford, PA) scored on a header off a corner kick. The Statesmen then scored three goals in 10-minute span before halftime, including a penalty kick that was converted after a foul in the box. In the first half alone, Hobart had 16 corners to Bard's zero.

Bard (2-12-2, 0-6 Liberty League) was outshot 31-1.

Gabe Rudd made five saves, and Daniel Gagne made two for the Raptors, who next play a non-league game at Sarah Lawrence College on Wednesday night.
