Improving Bard defeated by RPI

Freshman Liz Freud had nine points and five rebounds against RPI on Tuesday night.
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team shot the ball better, scored more points, and played better defense than it had in a while.

Still, RPI came away with an 82-33 victory on Tuesday night.

Bard got 10 points and eight rebounds from Imani Jones, and nine points and four rebounds from Liz Freud. The Raptors shot 39 percent from the field for the game - a marked improvement over recent Liberty League contests. Victoria Fleisher and Joanna Regan added six points apiece.

RPI (9-5 overall, 3-2 Liberty League) outrebounded Bard, 44-23, and got points from eleven players. Kyleigh Oliveira (Agawam, MA) led the way with 18 points, five rebounds and three assists. The Engineers next game is on Friday at St. Lawrence.

Bard (1-12, 0-4) travels to RIT on Saturday for another Liberty League contest.
