COBLESKILL, N.Y. - The Bard College men's soccer team opened the season with a 2-0 loss at SUNY Cobleskill on Thursday.

The Fighting Tigers scored twice in a six-minute span midway through the first half, first on a penalty kick by junior Tyler Shaw, then off a header by sophomore Raphael Mpinga to earn the victory.

Bard (0-1) outshot SUNY Cobleskill 19-11, including 8-2 in the second half, but could not put the ball in the net.

Senior goalie Deven Connelly made three saves; senior striker Jacob Hartog produced nine shots, including three of the Raptors' four shots on goal.
