ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - There have been games when excessive turnovers did in the Bard College women's basketball team.
On Thursday, it was poor shooting, too.
The Raptors made just 7-of-31 shots in the first half, never led in the game, and were beaten soundly by Skyline Conference foe Mount St. Vincent, 68-37.
Bard (4-17 overall, 1-13 Skyline) had won two of three games entering Thursday, but they were never in this one.
Senior
Latiqua Williams (Bay Shore, NY) had her second consecutive double-double with 16 points and 22 rebounds, but the Dolphins had too many weapons and won the game going away. Freshman
Keila Brown (Atlanta, GA) added 12 points.
Mount St. Vincent (7-15, 5-11 Skyline) got 13 points apiece from freshmen Sarah Kluth (Lynbrook, NY) and Amy Delva (Nanuet, NY), plus 11 points and 16 rebounds from junior Kara McNish (Hawthorne, NY). The Dolphins led by 20 at halftime and Bard never got closer.
The Raptors next play on Saturday, on the road at Polytechnic Institute of NYU at 2 p.m.
