Bard defeated by Elms College

Sophomore Victoria Fleisher had four points and three assists against Elms.
CHICOPEE, Mass. - Just over six minutes into Saturday's non-league game at Elms College, Bard and Elms were knotted at four points apiece.

Just over eight minutes later, Elms led 26-6.

That 22-2 run spelled doom for Bard, which went on to lose, 71-31.

The Blazers dominated on the glass (51-28) and scored 29 points off of 29 Bard turnovers. The lead was 37-14 at halftime, but grew to 45 points with about five minutes to play.

Elms sophomore guard Emily Boucher (Ashburnham, MA) finished with 11 points and a game-high four steals, while junior guard Jennifer Normandie (Westford, MA) and sophomore forward Nicolette Martin (Colchester, CT) added 10 points each off the bench. Elms is 3-2.

Bard was led by freshman Liz Freud, who had 15 points and six rebounds. Joanna Regan and Cara Chalk contributed six rebounds apiece. The Raptors (1-5) next play on Wednesday at Rutgers-Camden at 6 p.m.
