ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team lost to Sage, 59-34, on Saturday afternoon in a non-league game.

Sage (4-5) put 12 players in the scoring column, and used a 31-14 edge at halftime to cruise to a victory.

Junior Kara Hackett (Peru, NY) led Sage with nine points, while Chelsea Martin (Davenport, NY), Amie Jefferson (Albany, NY) and Sarah Carciobolo (Niskayuna, NY) each added eight points. The Gators shot 42 percent for the game and outrebounded Bard, 40-31.

Bard (1-7) got 13 points and 10 rebounds from Liz Freud, and 10 points and five rebounds from junior Imani Jones. Junior Julia Denning added two points and seven rebounds.

Bard plays again Sunday, hosting Pine Manor College at 3 p.m. before winter break. They won't play against until Jan. 10 after Sunday's game.
