ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Senior
Jacob Hartog scored twice - and longtime goalkeeper
Deven Connelly also scored while playing forward - to lead the Bard College men's soccer team to a 4-0 romp over Sarah Lawrence College on Thursday night.
Hartog's sixth and seventh goals of the season gave him 46 for his career, which is four short of the Bard record for goals in a career held by Stewart Wagner. Hartog has three games left to try to match or break the record.
Senior
Jonah Peterschild scored the only goal of the first half off a feed from
Chet Darrow, turning and firing from 20 yards out and hitting the top right corner. The Raptors outshot Sarah Lawrence 18-1 in the first half, but still led just 1-0 at the half.
Darrow and Hartog got the assists when Connelly scored the first goal of his college career, bootikng a beautiful, hard, low cross from Hartog into the goal just 18 seconds into the second half. Hartog scored twice after that, in the 67th and 75th minutes, as Bard finished with a 28-5 advantage in shots.
