ALBANY - The Bard College women's basketball team fell into a 16-0 hole early in the game and never got closer in an 80-32 season-opening loss at the Albany College of Pharmacy on Tuesday night.

Five different players scored in double figures for the Panthers (3-0), who led 16-0 just 3:03 into the game.

Bard (0-1) committed 35 turnovers in the game, 21 in the first half.

Bard senior Latiqua Williams (Bay Shore, NY) came off the bench and led the team with eight points, six rebounds and two steals. Freshman Victoria Fleisher (Brooklyn, NY) and sophomore Imani Jones (Brooklyn, NY) contributed seven points apiece.

The Raptors travel to Western Massachusetts this Saturday to participate in the Elms College Tip-Off Tournament. Bard will play Simmons College on Saturday night at 8 in the first round.
