Yuka came to Bard in the fall of 2014.
A native of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., Yuka had a decorated swimming career as a student-athlete at SUNY New Paltz. She won 13 SUNYAC Championships and qualified for the NCAA Championships three times, placing 8th in the 200-back, 11th in the 100-back and 39th in the 200-IM.
She was an All-American in the 100-back and 200-back in 2012, and All-American as part of New Paltz's 400-medley relay team in 2013.
Yuka graduated with a B.S. in Visual Art in 2014, with a concentration in Graphic Design. She was also on the SUNYAC All-Academic Team and made the Dean's List.
